Madden 12 Release Date is Finally Tackled

If you were one of many fans waiting on the Madden 12 release date, then you won’t have to wait any longer. Confirmation arrived earlier this morning on exactly when you can expect the popular NFL video game to hit shelves.

It was just a few days ago that the good guys on Pastapadre noticed something peculiar with the Madden release dates at retailers, which hinted at a possible delay in this year’s Madden NFL 12 release relative to previous years. Now, official word has come through via Twitter and other mediums that early suspicions were correct, as Madden 12 is scheduled for an August 30th release, approximately three weeks later than traditionally seen.

No reason has yet been given for the abnormally late release date, however one must consider the push back to be as part of a necessity, rather than a preference, as such a late release under the current storm that is the NFL 2011 season could impact sales if it’s well-known by then that a season will not be happening. On the brightside, this may allow fans more time to act on popular deals from mediums like Amazon, which this year is allowing gamers the opportunity to receive $20 back when they pre-order Madden NFL 12.
