Madden 11 Saints Ratings March In

Saints fans have surely been spoiled this year. First their team brings home the Lombardi trophy, and now they get the Madden 11 Saints ratings early.

We previously learned the reigning Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints were the highest rated team in Madden 11 with an outstanding 92 overall rating, but only now do we get a full look at the all-important player ratings. To no surprise, Madden 11 cover boy QB Drew Brees is represented in the video game with the maximum 99 overall rating. One of the men in charge of keeping Brees on his feet, RG Jahri Evans, falls just one rating short with a stout 98 overall rating.

    Overall the ratings were ok, but the madden people sure looked over Jermon Bushrod, Jonathan Cassilias, Jonathan Goodwin, and Roman Harper. Bushrod started nearly an entire season, but has awareness less than a rookie (Charles Brown). Chip Vaughn makes the roster and has never played a snap, but Jonathan Cassilias who had a few flashes of potential didn't. Goodwin has been struggling for years to get a decent Madden rating, all he has done is ancor the NFL's top rated o-line for three years now. Lastly Roman Harper, for goodness sake he was a pro bowler. Maybe he doesn't have top end speed, but 81 seriously, Vilma is 84. Harper was just flat out snubbed again!

    Alex Brown should be rated higher than 80. I am still dumbfounded that Chicago released him. He was a cornerstone in Chicago's D for a long time.

    I'm a Saints season ticket holder, and while I was at one game in 2008, I watched Hartley take some practice kicks. He hit the 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, and 55 yard kicks with ease. I was watching in awe. This guy was a rookie at the time. He lined up for the 60 yarder and nailed it with about 15-20 yards clearance. The Dome applauded him. Then he lined up for a 65 yarder. I was at the edge of my seat. He kicked it, but missed wide left. However, I realized if he had been accurate, he would've made it with about 5 yards clearance. What I'm trying to say is, a 93 isn't good enough for Kick Power. He should be from 97-99. I've witnessed his power, and it's legit.

    ive been watching the saints my entire life, and there is no way that they overlooked bushrod. That guy was just plain garbage all season

    Leave it to fans to complain constantly. 42% still complain when they're given a roster with only four starters under an 80 OVR rating–Two of which are kickers/punters.

    @Markus I get your drift on where you were going there. I often think of my past and use it as a means to analyze where I am and where I want to get to. Where I struggel is balancing it all out. How do you guys balance things out?
