First Look at Madden 12 Main Menu

With the news coming out today of a new Madden 12 video on presentation, some might have expected that to be it for the day, but it wasn’t long until we got a first look at the Madden 12 main menu.

Over the last few seasons, the Madden development team has made a concerted effort to make the game cleaner, and easier to get into. Today, that philosophy looks to be on track as usual, as the first look at the Madden 12 main menu (see bigger) showcases a cleaner set of options, including a much-needed but unexpected “Manual” option, which is likely a quick link to help players understand the buttons themselves, if not a more robust explanation of the game.

It was only a little over a year ago that we learned something shocking: over 350,000 players tried Madden 10 online, only to never play it again. With this in mind, last season EA Sports introduced GameFlow to Madden 11 with hopes of making the game easier for new players, and even earlier this year we introduced the idea of a Madden 12 Coach System. However you solve the problem, it certainly starts with providing easy access to a manual for players, which Madden 12 finally seems to be doing.
